Red Sox designated hitter David Ortiz was involved in a car accident on his way to Fenway Park Friday. A team spokesperson told reporters prior to Friday's game against the Indians that Ortiz and everyone else involved was fine.
Ortiz is in the Red Sox' lineup for Friday and will bat third.
